A Little About Amy
Founder, Bullzeye Design
I’ve been designing since 10th grade, when my supermarket cashier job doubled as an opportunity convince unsuspecting customers in my line to hire me as their website designer. I have been doing-business-as (DBA) Bullzeye Design since 2008.
Hi, I’m Amy. And for the past fifteen years, I’ve worked hands-on in the design industry: within an agency environment, at small firms, in higher education and the non-profit sector. I’m an expert in graphic design, website design, social media and internet marketing.
My mission is to teach business owners how to use CREATIVITY to outshine their competition and grow their business.
So, a little more about me. I have been entrepreneurial my ENTIRE life. Selling at yard sales, lemonade stands, and, of course, the grocery store checkout. But, believe it or not, Bullzeye Design wasn’t my first baby. Nope — it was “TravoltaFever” — my tribute website to John Travolta when I was 14. I ran the sh!t out of that Geocities website. So much so, that at age 14 I was reading “fan mail” to John Travolta himself. The web was newish, and my site was good enough that people actually thought I WAS John Travolta. I even took up collections so that all his die hard fans could mail him roses on his birthday.
Not. even. joking.
Running that website taught me SO much about the web. I really did fall in love with web design because of TravoltaFever. And, friends, I don’t care how much you pick on me for it, I am so grateful for my unhealthy obsession with John. It ignited my love for website design and was a big factor in leading me down this career path.
I’ve designed websites for over 300 businesses over the course of my career. It’s been a great journey. But, it’s occurred to me that the web is changing in a big way. Websites can be designed with the click of a button now. There’s a lot of free tools that put the power in the hands the business owner.
I think it’s a really exciting time — although I’m not sure most of my web designer friends would agree. But that’s the thing about entrepreneurship right? Where others see a wall, I see an opportunity to climb. I think that what is missing for a lot of business owners is coaching… or guidance. Yes, you can make that website with a few clicks. But… is that website going to work for you? How do you make it work? And how to do you know that it’s working to its fullest potential? I think those are great questions that I hope to help you answer.
That’s why I recently decided to turn my whole world upside down. In the past I’ve designed sooooo many websites that are published and never touched again. I want to show you how to use your website to grow your business. I even created a step-by-step easy to follow method to do exactly that!
I want you to know that your website has the potential to make you lots of money, generate tons of leads and build your brand into your own personal ATM machine. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to use your website to make money and grow your business… you just need a little guidance. And… I can’t wait to be your guide!
If you have any questions, or want to get in touch, you can email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It was SUCH a pleasure working with you! I know how it is to be a small business lost in the shuffle and you made me feel like I was the most important project on your list. I look forward to using this for years to come and will definitely be referring you to colleagues and bringing you any other creative projects that I need help with. Thanks again, I look forward to working with you in the future!
It’s easy to build a website… but how do you know it’s working?
